چکیده
This work presents a new open-source carbonate reservoir case study, the COSTA model, that uniquely considers significant uncertainties inherent to reservoirs, providing far more challenging and realistic benchmarking test for range of geo-energy applications. The field is large, with many wells large associated volumes. dataset embeds interacting geological petrophysical in an ensemble model concepts complexity levels varying production profiles. resulting number different models long run times creates demanding computational challenge than current models. takes inspiration from shelf-to-basin setting Upper Kharaib Member (Early Cretaceous), one most prolific aggradational parasequence formations sets world. based on 43 corresponding fully anonymised data northeastern part Rub Al Khali basin, sub-basin wider Arabian Basin. Our encapsulates large-scale heterogeneities found across profile, into single modelling simulation studies. result this research semi-synthetic but geologically suite capture wide geological, petrophysical, geomodelling can be history-matched against undisclosed, synthetic ‘truth case’. are made available as analyse several issues related testing numerical algorithms modelling, uncertainty quantification, simulation, history matching, optimization machine learning. investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
design of an analog fuzzy logic controller chip
fuzzy logic has been developed over the past three decades into a widely applied techinque in classification and control engineering. today fuzzy logic control is one of the most important applications of fuzzy set theory and specially fuzzy logic. there are two general approachs for using of fuzzy control, software and hardware. integrated circuits as a solution for hardware realization are us...

We describe our research direction to build a 3-D articulatory speech synthesizer. We are employing a user-centred design approach to develop the synthesizer. The end result will be added to the open-source research community. The system infrastructure we are planning is expected to allow for easy integration of current and future research results in vocal tract modelling and vocal sound produc...

Greater investment is required in developing new drugs and vaccines against malaria in order to eradicate malaria. These precious funds must be carefully managed to achieve the greatest impact. We evaluate existing efforts to discover and develop new drugs and vaccines for malaria to determine how best malaria R&D can benefit from an enhanced open source approach and how such a business model m...
